Entry 2
While attending UCSD I surfed everyday at this spot. The pier is part of the Scripps Institute of Oceanography. It is perfectly symmetrical and is a great setup for perspective. In the original Entry (shot in wintertime years before) the sea was turbulent. The opening at the far end of the pier was very spiritual and appeared like the Entry to Heaven. On this day the colors and light were very different and truly magical. Then a gift from the gods of photography.... a brown pelican shot the pier!Location: La Jolla California.
